Happy 195th Birthday Belgium!

On July 19th, the Belgian community in Shanghai celebrated Belgium's 195th birthday at the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Belgium in Shanghai. The event commemorated Belgium’s National Day, which marks the day in 1831 when Leopold I took the constitutional oath as the first King of the Belgians, formally establishing Belgium as an independent constitutional monarchy. Nearly two centuries later, Belgians around the world continue to honor this historic moment with pride, including here in Shanghai, where the spirit of Belgium was alive and well among friends, partners, and compatriots.
